So I have one of the Angelkin Paladin from Pathfinder's Deadly Foes Set. I didn't like the way the white cloak looked.

So I took the cloak off. But I just didn't like any of the items I had that I would mount on him to cover the large hole in his back.

I put him in my box of parts and ignored him for a while. Then the other day I realized what I wanted to do. So he is no longer a Paladin, rather he is some sort of Celestial now. :ayyy:

The wings were offered up from one of my bag of HeroClix figures that I use for parts. It covered the hole and made him look great IMO.

Great? Daniel, he looks downright fantastic! One might even say divine :P

Seriously, kudos on the mod, I dig it. I've rebased plenty of Heroclix for RPG purposes before but never used them for parts. Do you the name of the figure the wings came from?

I have used them for head swaps or other parts. I find it fun to see what I can come up with.

Yes, they came from Angel from the Heroclix Danger Room set. I like to pick up the low cost ones if they look good for parts. Weapons, heads, spell effects, etc.

I picked this one up for under $1 at the time. ( http://www.trollandtoad.com/p169303.html )

I have done it to others. For example here is a Mage Knight with a Heroclix head and spell effect swap:

Love the paladin/angel transformation!! Excellent work Daniel! I just took my own Angelkin Paladin out, as our D&D group ascended into epic levels... the paladin PC switched his mini from the Tyranny of Dragons Paladin to this one (without the wings, yet, though!!).

Thanks for sharing; never thought of using HC for "parts"; I've got plenty of double/triples to pull from too. Off to the box!
